Mission Comprehensive Health Care for Everyone Company Overview Incorporated in 1985, Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center, Inc. (ICCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center whose primary purpose is to provide accessible, affordable, quality primary health care for the uninsured and medically underserved populations in the communities we serve. ICCHC operates locations in three parishes, Iberia (New Iberia), Vermilion (Abbeville) and St. Martin (St. Martinville). We provide medical, dental, mental health, pharmacy, laboratory services, case management, health education, specialty referrals, outreach and social services to over 18,600 unduplicated patients and 59,000 visits annually. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and apply a discount fee schedule for families who do not have health insurance or any means to pay for services. Over 81.5% of our patients are either uninsured or underinsured (Medicaid or high deductible plans). ICCHC is authorized to operate under Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act and receives funding from the United States Department of Health and Hospitals Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to help subsidize care to the uninsured and underinsured. The funds provided by HRSA bridge the gap between the cost of providing services and what is affordable to a family or individual based upon their income. ICCHC is a Louisiana 501 (c) 3, governed by a consumer majority community based board.
